About Us

McLOUD POLICE DEPARTMENT

Located at 408 W. Broadway, the McLoud Police Department is dedicated to protecting and serving our community through professional law enforcement, continuous improvement, and active community involvement.

We believe that effective policing relies on transparency, accountability, and mutual respect. Our officers are committed to upholding the highest standards of ethics and public safety while working alongside residents and local businesses to foster a safe, strong, and united McLoud.


Patrol Division

The Patrol Division serves as the primary point of contact between the McLoud Police Department and the community. Patrol officers work to protect life and property, maintain public safety, prevent and investigate criminal activity, enforce state and local laws, and respond to calls for service throughout the City of McLoud.

Patrol Division responsibilities include:

  • Conducting proactive patrols throughout the community to deter crime, identify suspicious activity, and maintain public order.
  • Responding to emergency and non-emergency calls for service, including:
    • Traffic collisions
    • Disturbances
    • Domestic violence incidents
    • Fires and other emergencies
    • Intoxicated or impaired persons
    • Thefts and property crimes
    • Misdemeanor and felony offenses
  • Conducting preliminary investigations, interviewing witnesses, collecting and preserving evidence, and preparing reports.
  • Making arrests when probable cause exists and providing testimony in court proceedings.
  • Enforcing traffic laws and parking regulations.
  • Investigating traffic collisions and providing emergency assistance until fire or medical personnel arrive.
  • Assisting other department personnel with criminal investigations and enforcement activities.
  • Supporting neighboring law enforcement agencies, fire departments, emergency medical services, and other public-safety partners during critical incidents.

Through proactive policing, professional service, and community engagement, the Patrol Division works to make McLoud a safe place to live, work, and visit.
