McLOUD VETERANS PARK

Lawrence Wahpepah Hiking Trail Project

The park has been sponsored by the following Grants and benefactors:

                                                                                                    Parks and Tourism – $25000 – (1995-99);                       COEDD - $20,000 (1998) Pavillion;          Lawrence Wahpapeh Family - Bench, Bridge and donations

                                                                                                       OK Healthy Incentives Grant (TSET) - $10,000 – bleachers and equipment (2015);            Citizen Potawatomi Nation - $18,000 – (2015) – clearing 27 acres

 

                                                                         ODOT, AVEDIS FOUNDATION and COEDD - $150,000 – (2016-17) - expansion

ODOT Three phase construction:                                                   1.    Clear land, install new bleachers and paint structures in park

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        2.     Lay out Trail, pour 6 ft. concrete path, build bridges and playground area

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        3.     Construct pavilions at each pond, add roadway, parking lot and lighting

 

To the CITIZENS of MCLOUD:

This is a large project and will take time to complete and will be something the city can be proud to share.
